3 table spoons of sugar
1 12oz. can of beer
bake in a 350 f. oven for 45 minutes.,
butter and return to the oven for 5 more min.

Pfeffernuess [cookie recipe] ~
Pfeffernuesse cookies are one of my favrite cookies for Christmas time.These cookies are soft and chewy and not too sweet. Yummers!
In sauce pan,combine 3/4 cup light molasses and 1/2 cup butter.
Cook and stir till butter melts.Cool to room temperature.
Stir in :
2 beaten eggs.
Sift together :
4 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour,
1/2 cup granulated sugar,
1 1/4 teaspoons of soda,
1 1/2 teaspoons groun cinnamon,
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves,
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg,...and a dash of pepper.
Add to molasses mixture;mix well....Chill well.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375* for 12 minutes.
Cool;roll in confectioners' sugar.
Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
